TU Ayurveda Teaching Hospital (TUATH) is located in Kritipur Municipality, Kathmandu, Nepal and plays a crucial role in promoting and disseminating knowledge and services to Ayurveda. The hospital stands as a venerable institution at the forefront of Ayurveda education, research, and healthcare in Nepal. It is established in 2068 BS(2011) under the aegis Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. It is a distinguished center that blends the wisdom of Ayurveda with modern scientific advancements.
The hospital led by a team of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated medical professionals, is well supported by fully devoted paramedical and non-medical staff. Dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the growth and development of Ayurveda, our institution plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Ayurveda practitioners. Ayurveda Teaching Hospital is instituted to fulfill the following objectives:
- To make the nation self-reliant in the field of high-level manpower production by developing competences and skills in the field of diagnosis, prevention, treatment and patient care through Ayurveda to the students studying under Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Post Graduate Program (MD- Ayu) and others.To deliver expert Ayurveda treatment services aimed at offering high-quality health care to the patients by a team of compassionate multi-disciplinary, highly trained consultants, doctors, nurses, technician and others.
- To implement and maintain standardized protocol for Ayurveda diagnosis and treatment.
- To strengthen the prevention and treatment system of diseases through Ayurveda medicine by exploring and developing Ayurvedic formulations, treatment modalities, and technologies through research.
- To offer comprehensive training to diverse levels of professionals to support specialized Ayurvedic medical services, including Panchakarma, Kshar Karma, Agni Karma, Rasayan Chikitsa,Vajikarana Chikitsa and many more.
- To organize health camps, seminars and workshops to foster community awareness regarding Ayurveda and its manifold benefits.
